About indefinite leave to enter?

am British citizen.I applied for my dependant mother ,from India to join me permanently i. e. dependant visa. She has been given Visa SETTLEMENT TO JOIN ACC /(MY NAME),INDEFINITE LEAVE TO ENTER ,WITH MULTIPLE ENTRY AND VALID TILL JANUARY 2018.

I am very very confused with the terms.

What is the status of her visa?

is she allowed to stay permanently with me or she can stay only 6 months in year?

or is this visa equivalent to residence permit?

or is this visa indefinite leave to remain?

or is it just the entry , I will have to apply and then get her the indefinite leave to remain later on;if yes, when can I apply for that?

does that mean after that only I will be able to apply for her citizenship?

i am very confused.please help me.

Also what limits is she having with visa and what benefits does she have?

or does that mean she has to live legally fro 5 years to become entitled fro residential period..can she get ILR before 5 yrs period.

I will be v thankfult o whosoever clear all my doubts.thank you very much.|||Her status having ILE (Indefinate Leave to Enter) simply means that your mother is free of immigration procedures and can enter the United Kingdom same as a British citizen. A validation date was simply entered on the visa sticker since the computer program requires an expiration date to be entered for an ILE application from outside of the United Kingdom. ILE is the same as Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) awarded after application in the United Kingdom. Your mother can stay in the U.K. as long as she wants. She can apply for naturalisation after having lived in the U.K. on her present status for five years..

She has a settlement visa.

Indefinite leave to enter is the same as ILR except it is issued outside the UK.

She can stay permanently with you.

It is not ILR.

You will not need to apply for another visa, as this one is indefinite.

SHE has to apply for her citizenship.

No limits. She can in essence use any and all benefits she may qualify for. Some benefits however have a requirement for residency for a certain period of time before she would qualify. Such as disability living allowance has a 6 month residency requirement.

She does not have to worry about getting ILR as this visa is permanent. ILE is same as ILR.
