About indefinite leave to enter?

I am British citizen.I applied for my dependant mother ,from India to join me permanently i. e. dependant visa.She has been given Visa SETTLEMENT TO JOIN ACC /(MY NAME),INDEFINITE LEAVE TO ENTER ,WITH MULTIPLE ENTRY AND VALID TILL JANUARY 2018.


I am very very confused with the terms.


What is the status of her visa?


is she allowed to stay permanently with me or she can stay only 6 months in year?


or is this visa equivalent to residence permit?


or is this visa indefinite leave to remain?


or is it just the entry , I will have to apply and then get her the indefinite leave to remain later on;if yes,when can I apply for that?


does that mean after that only I will be able to apply for her citizenship?


i am very confused.please help me.


Also what limits is she having with visa and what benefits does she have?


or does that mean she has to live legally fro 5 years to become entitled fro residential period..can she get ILR before 5 yrs period.
